The Yarrow Cookery School runs online and in person classes for corporates, families and friends. Our online classes can be accessed from anywhere in the world, our in person classes are run from our farmhouse in East Lothian. Richard and Sophia aim to share the joy of cooking with all ages and abilities in a relaxed and personalised way, using seasonal, local and sustainable produce.

Public classes 

Build confidence in the kitchen when joining any of our public classes. Featured classes include our extremely popular local Seafood class and pizza making half days.

After only a few hours at the Yarrow cookery school, we managed to walk away having perfected the Beef Wellington. Entering as a group of very inexperienced cooks, we were really surprised with the quality of the outcome. Richard made one of the hardest dishes to make seem very simple and manageable to pull of, giving us great tips to take forward and boost our confidence in the kitchen - making sure we had good fun in the process!

We had a great private cookery class with Richard, cooking a delicious 3-course seasonal menu. I enjoyed the hands on approach (the best way to learn!) and I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes out at home. The raspberry soufflé in particular was incredible!
