Our Story

Having studied at both the Orchard and Ballymaloe cookery schools, Richard went on to train at Tom Kitchin's Bonnie Badger in the heart of East Lothian. Richard has built a wealth of culinary knowledge from cooking in lodges, ski chalets and private houses.

 

These experiences created an opportunity for Richard to explore teaching, where he developed a passion for sharing his culinary skills in a friendly and relaxed environment.

 

Sophia's background is in Yoga where she taught internationally and then ran her own studio in Edinburgh. Sophia now manages the business; creates the online content and marketing for the School. Richard and Sophia welcomed their first baby, Lyra, in July and love combining their skills to run the business together.

​The Yarrow Cookery School is an international cookery school, providing online classes all around the world.

All classes can be tailored so that you can create the dishes you have always wanted to master and learn at a level that suits you. We offer both short (90 minute - 3 hours) and longer courses.
